It sounds very interesting and fun too! I have had a few friends in the past that went open sea kayaking and they told me that it was so awesome! I haven't tried it before though. It sounds like it would be so much fun and challenging also. From what my friends told me a few years back; it is so much fun and you have to know what you're doing in the ocean too because of the waves too. All in all; I think it's great! Ocean kayaking is really great. In the Monterey Bay area you can see seals and sea otters. The mink in Vancouver was fantastic. I'd love to do another trip to VC to go to the preserves that are set up for Whales and Orcas. Only problem is: they are rugged and out door camping. Not many modern conviences. Not a problem for me but i wonder how many ladies would be up for a trip like that. If you find a place that does ocean kayaking they, usually, have classes and tours for beginers. They want to make sure you are confident in your ability and can handle the boats before they take you on a long trip. It is a great adventure. Hope you get the opportunity to try it. Good luck!
