Paul, you're a long time member here and you know that this was not you who caused all these problems. And cut-n-paste was not the main cause of the wars started in News and Politics forum. I have read once again the latest threads there and found no meaningful discussion or search for understanding. This is not a political board and people can read news somewhere else. I would have nothing against news and politics here if they didn't cause quarrels and distract members from the main themes of the site.

I believe that discussion culture of many site members is too low to maintain a constructive dialog on topics of politics. Unfortunately, it's not easy to draw a line between political news and propaganda, and people constantly get involved into quarrels growing into personal insults. I see no value in keeping this unproductive place, that became a source of continuous conflict. This site is about escorting after all, so if someone needs to discuss politics there are numerous thematic forums around. So effective today, political talks are prohibited on site forums. You still can post anything you want in your personal blog.

Hmmm... Nice idea, but please correct me, if I am wrong. There is a whole separate board here, created entirely for this purpose. Why limit it to "Dear Sierra" column? And why not to discuss this idea on General Chat board, or Website Discussion boards which seem to suit the topic better? Should this trend remain, "Dear Sierra" will become indistinguishable from other boards and I will have to merge it with General Chat...

quote Bonnie Lovings : When you go to the Galleries list, through the navigation menu, the user avatars do not display if they are verified. This shouldn't be a difficult fix. The admin would just have to add a simple piece of code to the display script to include the verified status. I will look into this matter shortly. |

Yesterday I had been thinking about closing this forum, but decided to give Sierra a couple of weeks or so. It happens pretty often that people leave this site, and come back after a while.

quote Naughty Kitty : I know 90% of the men I see take me cause of my pictures either here or on my web. I know cause almost every question they ask is answered on my web or here but they NEVER READ IT. hahahahahaha only look pictures. You should write your terms on your pictures :) One term per picture, then most of the men will be well informed before calling you :) |

Sierra, do all these people who contact you ask not to publish their question even anonymously? You can start a new topic in this forum in the following format:
Question: Blah-blah-blah-blah? Answer: Blah-blah-blah-blah! |

quote Naughty Kitty : quote sierramichaels : I think it would be great if we were notified when someone replies to our posts. What does everyone else think? I think it would not help admin. It would be better for him I think if we log in more times to see if some one post....especially in terms of him getting advertising No, this will be nice, I believe. And notifications, on the contrary, remind the people to come back. I also thought about this feature, but still have not implemented it. The main problem is that the more email goes out from our site, the more chances of getting banned by various internet providers. So we disabled notifications several years ago. I will think about the best way to do it, it's really something we miss here. |

quote Naughty Kitty : agree. that was my thought when I first read about it. questions here should only be answered by sierra. that is what make it different and ok....if anyone can answer then it just another general forum. so we need to resepct and not answer on here but only ask if we need help in some thing..... I believe, it will be ok for everyone to post inside any topic in this forum, but with the sole intention to clarify what the column author thinks, or to make the answer more precise. So if usual communication model/scheme is "everyone-to-everyone", here the main model should be "everyone-to-column author-to-everyone". |

OK, since this is our first try with this kind of columns let's elaborate regulations on the go.
First, regarding anonymity. I do not support the idea that anyone who wants to ask you a question should register another account here. It is against our rules and in fact is not necessary. People who post here usually already pay attention to their privacy protection and do not disclose the information they consider private, so many questions may be asked straight, if site member is confident that he/she can do it. If he/she would prefer to keep his/her identity private, it is possible to send a question to you as a private message here. You will create a new forum topic starting with this question. Of course, you won't mention the author. He/she will be able to take part in the further discussion together with other site members, no one will figure out who was the author of the original question. Second, regarding the difference between personal advice columns and general site boards. I believe that personal column has the following distinctive features: - this is a place where question is addressed to particular person (column author). Having some health concern, for example, you can seek an advice of a particular doctor or go to the city square and ask everyone there for their opinion. Reading the column you know the authors background, style, and you know what to expect. Although you can ask for advice in private this column is a good way to share the advice with others. - this is the place where you for sure will receive the answer from column author. So here you have a kind of guarantee that Sierra will answer your question, while on other boards you can't be sure that it will be her who will answer you. Sierra, Kitty what would you say? |

We opened this forums section to allow some more experienced enthusiasts to share their wisdom with other site members. If you consider yourself an expert on any topic relevant to our site and would like to dedicate some time to your own personal advice column you are always welcome! Please contact me with a short description of your proposal and I will create a column for you.
