Which Condoms Make For Better Sex?

f you’re able to get and maintain your erection through solo masturbation or other sex acts (such as oral sex and mutual masturbation, as you said), then it would be highly unlikely that you have erectile dysfunction (ED). And given that you can get and maintain erections during partnered sex play such as oral sex and mutual masturbation, the issue is unlikely to lie in performance anxiety unless you feel particularly anxious or worried about vaginal sex or about using condoms.
Although many men can use just about any condom in the world and still get and maintain an erection, some men (as many as about 1/3!) find that condoms make it more challenging for them to keep their erection. No worries, though – I have some tips and suggestions that may help.

You said that you’ve been trying different condoms. Have you tried the Trojan Ecstasy condom? It has a baggier baseball-like shape that some men find very appealing in that there is less latex constricting their penis and they may feel more “free” and thus more sensation during sex. Condoms such as Pleasure Plus, Inspiral, Trojan Twisted Pleasure and Durex Pleasure Curve are all roomier at the head and may provide more sensation as well. The key with the Trojan Ecstasy, however, is that it is roomier all over. Any of these might be options.

Other times, men find that non-latex condoms such as the Avanti or Lifestyles Skyn provide more sensation (Avanti is made with polyurethane and Skyn is made of polyisoprene). Both of these condoms may conduct heat better than latex does which can help sex to feel warmer and more natural. If you’d like to try thinner condoms to enhance sensation, but stick with a latex condom, consider Kimono MicroThin condoms. And if you need a larger than average sized condom, you might try Trojan Magnum XL.

Whatever condom you choose, that’s half the battle. Consider asking your girlfriend to put the condom on your penis. This can help you to focus on the things that arouse you like kissing, touching and looking at her while she continues to focus on one of the many things that likely arouses her (your penis and the chance to touch it!). Touching your penis in this way may also help her to become more familiar with your body and the way it responds to touch. After the condom is on your penis, perhaps she could lick it a little or perform no-teeth oral sex in a way that enhances your arousal.

Next it’s time for one of the key parts to pleasurable condom use – try adding lube! Water-based and silicone-based lubricants are both fine choices to use with latex (or non-latex) condoms (I provide an overview of how to choose lubes that are condom-friendly and vagina-friendly in Because It Feels Good). I tend to be a fan of the mostly organic and water-based Good Clean Love lubricant but there are many great lubes on the market including Just Like Me (water-based), Pure Pleasure (silicone based), Astroglide (water based), KY Liquid (water based) and Wet Platinum (silicone based).

The act of her putting the lubricant on your penis can feel very arousing. Having sex with a lubricant on your condom-covered penis can also reduce the friction so that sex will likely feel smoother and more pleasurable for both of you.

I trust Trojans more. I have seen Durex break while being placed on a man's dick.

Oh anything that has an banana flavor tastes bad including condoms. Its so bad I want to puke...

I don't know Trojan very well (I used it one time)... I use sometimes "Durex" or "Manix"!

Trojan Condoms are nice, though I feel more comfortable with the Okomoto Brands. It almost doesnt feel a thing! And the taste is quite better compare with Trojan.

I always take condoms with me and I usually use Durex but I usually wear what ever the lady has.

Talking about condoms; With the different laws in each state regarding prostution, it makes it a little harder for entrapment and other things if you leave your donation in the bathroom and if you bring your own supplies, i.e.; condoms, lube, toy and what ever else you might need or hope to use.
