I am disperit in my attempt to learn how to down load pictures for some additional galleries. I'd like to show you Zip lining, My bridge, the Oakland/San Francisoc, Bay Bridge. A couple of pictures of some of the collapse, a couple of rebuilding it and standing on the prefab deck, 254 feet above the water, no nets just saftey harnesses.
I am also considering posting the only picture I have of me, while in viet nam. I had just returned from R&R in Bangkok and was back at the base prepairing to go back to my unit. I was a combat platoon leader and I had just turned 20 yrs four days before this picture was taken. That day was January 1, 1970. At least I was in Bangkok for my birthday. I spent Christmas in the bush but my birthday in Bangkok.
This is a great picture for me. I spent 3 yrs in the Army but, I was never in uniform the day of my birthday. That was a goal I met.
But, like I said. I don't know squat about downloading pictures from my computer or from a CD.
I think I may have an old dinosaur and I might have to scan all my pictures and open seperate windows for them and then log onto the site and down load them one at a time.
I got lucky the first time.
I do have a cd of my zip tour and a couple of pictures. It was cold, for a skinny CA boy. It rained in the morning and stoped in the afternoon. Our guides told us it was snowing on the top of the moountain, that is the reasson for no rain. They were connceted to every one. Rescur, Meds, wheather, ski patrol every thing. Safety was there main concern.
I felt like I was being stropped into a parachuce harness in a fighter plane. One main line to hang from the cable and a huge back up safety line, if you ever needed it, would stop you and you would be rescued.
I wanted to do a rescue approach but insurance so I couldn't. That would have been an inverted hand over hand approach. I have a picture of me hanging upside down.
Any help would be gratefuly accepted. I can't spell apperciated? right.
I learned how to down load some pictures! I'll do a few at a time, I don't want to load up the site with a bunch of photos of me at one time.
